A full tear-off and replacement is the most thorough roofing job you can get. Everything comes off: old shingles, underlayment, and sometimes damaged decking, down to the structural rafters. We inspect every inch before anything new goes on.

What a full tear-off includes:

• Complete removal: Every layer of old material is stripped off and hauled away. We protect your property with tarps and plywood during the process.
• Deck inspection and repair: Exposed decking is inspected for rot, soft spots, and structural damage. We replace damaged plywood and address any rafter issues before anything goes back on.
• New underlayment: Ice and water shield is installed at eaves, valleys, and penetrations. Synthetic underlayment goes over the entire deck. This is the layer your shingles sit on and it matters significantly for leak protection.
• GAF roofing system installation: We install GAF architectural shingles following manufacturer specifications. Starter strips, ridge cap, and proper nailing patterns are not skipped. This is what qualifies for the full GAF warranty.
• Flashing replacement: All chimney, skylight, and penetration flashing is replaced or re-bedded as part of a full replacement.
