About this project
A homeowner in Bay Ridge wanted a layover and had no idea what shingle color to choose. We scheduled a color consultation before finalizing the job, brought five shingle samples from the GAF product line, and held them against the red brick exterior in different lighting. The homeowner selected GAF Timberline HDZ in Charcoal, a classic choice that works well with Brooklyn brick. Layover installed over a sound first layer, new ridge cap, starter strips at eaves. The result looked like a full replacement at layover cost.
